You're right, there are six months to accomplish things. I have managed to escape the house and go to a handful of literary festival events. At the first one, a little local festival I was really inspired to fit writing into my life regularly. I've been so busy with freelance non-fiction writing, and waiting for time to write fiction, the months were ticking by and it was never getting done. So since 1 April I've spent at least a little time on fiction every single day. I am better at not missing a day if I make it a self-imposed rule that it has to be every day. Sometimes it's only ten minutes, but I was at another event the other day and one of the writers said at the very least, that ten minutes keeps you up to date with where you are, so that when you do have a block of time you don't have to go back and refresh your memory. So far I've been to three events, and this evening I'm going to a writers meet-up for the first time (hopefully, if I can escape!) which I'm really excited about. I find it all very inspirational and motivational. So I was going to start my comment by saying I hadn't done much so far this year, but actually things are slowly moving in the right direction. Hope all is well with you. There are a variety of reasons for that, but I think the main one is that I was drifting, flitting from one thing to another and losing sight of what I wanted to achieve. I've got that focus back now and am moving forward again.Patsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12263765378083045973noreply@blogger.com
